The High Heaven proudly presents 'Fairytales of the Heartland,' the nine-track Wild West masterpiece of 2020. Bloody as a Sergio Leone epic, yet instilled with all the dreamlike imagery of a Cormac McCarthy novel, the Melbourne duo's debut release is one ride you'll want to take, partner.

Drawing influence from a range of styles and influences, including Neil Young, Tom Petty, and Spaghetti Western legend Ennio Morricone, The High Heaven takes you on a journey from the desert plains to the whiskey-soaked saloons of an era now faded like the blue on a cowboy's jeans.

'Fairytales of the Heartland' features thrilling performances by Brodie Casey (Easy Browns, Purple Curtain) on drums, and Devil Electric’s enigmatic lead singer Pierina O’Brien on guest backing vocals. The album was mixed by Michael Badger (whose credits include King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s 'Nonagon Infinity') and mastered by David Briggs (Little River Band) at Production Workshop Recording and Mastering Studios.

The days of outlaws and frontier towns may be long gone, but somewhere in the distance a steam train whistle is blowing, a lonesome piano is playing, and the desert winds are calling your name. Saddle up and enjoy the ride.
